Riding on a version of the Chevrolet Cruze’s Delta architecture, the Buick Verano will slot beneath the Regal in Buick’s lineup. At the forthcoming North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Buick will reveal publicly its third new model in the past two years and first in the compact luxury segment, the 2012 Buick Verano

Following Buick’s current design language, the Buick Verano features a sculpted design with a familiar Buick face. Historically accurate hood-mounted porthole vents complete the Verano’s front end.
The" Verano’s interior "carries over the theme of luxury and sport, featuring a dash and center stack that is familiar within the Buick family. The 2012 Buick Verano is available with a number of luxury features, including a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, touch screen navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.

Although no timeframe was given, Buick says the Verano will eventually be offered with a 2.0L turbocharged engine. Given the Verano is about 300 pounds lighter than the Regal, a Verano GS would certainly be best performer in the Buick lineup.
Buick failed to release pricing for the Verano, but we expect that information closer to the car’s fourth quarter 2011 launch.

General Motors continues to overhaul its Buick line-up, with the 2012 Buick Verano being the brand’s first compact.Among the big available features are 10 standard airbags, a heated steering wheel and the latest generation OnStar.

Built from the same platform as the recently introduced Chevrolet Cruze and built at the Orion Township in Michigan that will also build the new Chevrolet Sonic sub-compact, the 2012 Verano was introduced at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The overall interior volume is the same as Cruze, but there are differences in leg, shoulder and head room, with Buick Verano bettering Cruze in the width dimensions at the sake of head and leg room.
Four wheel anti-lock disc brakes (with electronic brake force distribution), traction control and Stabilitrak electronic stability control are all standard.

Befitting a Buick, the interior features premium upholstery, metallic or wood trim and soft touch materials for all touch surfaces. Standards include dual-zone climate control, power windows and a sliding console armrest.

The Renault Clio is considered as one of the excellent car that offers classy, comfortable and quite riding, which is cheap to run. The Tesla Roadster arguably has had a pivotal role in stoking public interest in electric vehicles—and in getting enthusiasts excited about them. While the model returns for one more year fundamentally unchanged, it's now officially called the 2011 Tesla Roadster 2.5, signaling a number of smaller improvements and upgrades.
For instance, the Roadster 2.5 gets a new rear air diffuser design, and the front fascia also has new diffuser vents.

A recent poll suggested that 40% of Americans were interested in driving an electric car. If they knew what the Tesla Roadster was all about, that number would likely be 100%.
Heavier, of course, being a relative term, since the Elise weighs just less than 2,000 lbs, while the Tesla, electric drivetrain and all, is about 2,700 lbs. That’s 400 lbs less than a Honda Civic Si, considered a “compact” car by the EPA.

Like all great sports cars, the Tesla is best driven under ideal conditions; glass smooth roads, sunny weather and little traffic. The weather held up, and the car performed admirably in stop-and-go situations, but if you live in an area with poor roads, the Tesla might be a bit of a chore. Fire your chiropractor if you drive a Tesla over railway tracks, potholes or manhole covers, because the rigor mortis-like rigidity and high spring rates will re-align your spine multiple times per second with a sickening thud every time you meet an imperfection in the road.

In city driving, the Tesla is quiet, comfortable and easy to maneuver. The single speed transmission and the progressive nature of the regenerative braking (as opposed to the abrupt deceleration of the MINI E) means that the brakes only need to be used to bring the car to a dead stop mere feet from a stop sign. Slow speed movements and U turns require some muscle thanks to the manual steering, but one easily adapts to this quirk. Unlike an exotic car, the Tesla seems to inspire goodwill among pedestrians and other motorists.

As incredible as it is, the Tesla has its drawbacks beyond the stiff ride. Space inside is tight as well; if you take someone on a date in a Tesla, you will undoubtedly be getting fresh by accident when you apply the parking brake or move your upper body. If you’re a female, wearing a skirt or dress is strongly discouraged, thanks to the high doorsills and difficult entry and exit procedure – unless of course, you’re an aspiring Paris Hilton. With an estimated range of 250 miles the Tesla isn’t a long distance car, and your mileage may vary. The Tesla Roadster 2.5 S is a massively impressive vehicle, more spacecraft than sports car. Theories like global warming, peak oil and rising oil prices should no longer bring heart palpitations to car fans. The Tesla shows just how good zero-emissions “green” technology can be.

2011 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid SUVs

The Tahoe Hybrid promises a 25 percent improvement in fuel economy in mixed driving, but because the gas-only Tahoe’s 15/21 mpg fuel economy is so low, hybrid buyers may be less-than-impressed with the Tahoe Hybrid’s 20/23 mpg fuel economy rating.

But, again, if you really need the Tahoe Hybrid, reviewers say you’ll be pleased. The Chevrolet Traverse offers similar seating capacity to the Tahoe Hybrid, and while it can’t match the Tahoe Hybrid’s city fuel economy, it beats its highway numbers. Best of all, it costs about $20,000 less than the Tahoe Hybrid.

Facing and addressing this issue head on, General Motors developed the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid.
As its name implies, the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid is a full-size SUV with a gasoline/electric powertrain to help boost fuel economy. The EPA gives the two-wheel-drive Tahoe Hybrid a 21 mpg city/22 mpg highway fuel economy estimate, with a combined average of 21 mpg. As with most other full hybrid vehicles, the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid can accelerate from a standstill to about 30 mph on electricity alone, a major factor in the Tahoe's increased city fuel economy. The Tahoe Hybrid also has aerodynamic add-ons and low-rolling-resistance tires.

The rest of the Chevy Tahoe Hybrid is largely identical to other, well-equipped Tahoe models. In our reviews of the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid, we've found that it drives very much like a regular Tahoe. The main downsides to the Tahoe Hybrid, however, are price and absolute fuel economy. Used Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid Models

The Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid is the first full-size SUV to utilize a hybrid drive system and offers 33 percent improved fuel economy compared to the standard Tahoe in city driving.

The 2011 GMC Yukon Hybrid looks much like a standard GMC Yukon and allows about the same level of performance and comfort.

That said, there's a lot that's different about the Yukon Hybrid. There are few compromises in the Hybrid. While the price premium for the Yukon Hybrid over the standard versions of the Yukon is quite steep, it nearly evens out when you're comparing Denali versions. SRT’s Performance Pages trip computer functions remain, meaning the Grand Cherokee SRT8 can display performance figures like 0-60 time, 60-0 distance, g-forces and one eighth and quarter mile times.
