2011 suzuki kizashi sport consisting of lighter wheels

2011 suzuki kizashi sport
2011 suzuki kizashi sport reviews

suzuki kizashi sport. For 2011, Suzuki adds a Sport variant, consisting of lighter wheels, a lowered chassis with retuned suspension, body and interior enhancements.
The all-wheel drive system automatically transfers up to fifty percent of engine power to the rear wheels as driving conditions dictate.

Eighteen-inch alloy wheels on the Sport reduce unsprung weight by two pounds at each wheel. Engineers lowered the ride height by 10 millimeters, enhancing the Kizashi’s aerodynamics. Inside, the Kizashi Sport comes with bolstered seats and a three-spoke steering wheel with redundant audio controls. Automatic transmission models get formula racing-style paddle shifters.

I drove the Kizashi Sport at a recent media event in La Jolla, California. The gearshift lever is tall for a car. Driving the car at 2000 rpm produces better fuel economy, but considerably weakens the car’s performance when climbing steep grades.

The 18-inch wheels with low-profile tires give the Kizashi stable footprint. Akebono produces the Kizashi brakes. Driver and front passenger seats have excellent lower lumbar support. The steering wheel is small in diameter: a boon for smaller drivers. Standard dual climate controls on the center stack keep the driver and front passenger comfortable. A standard rear pass-through allows the driver to load in skis or other large cargo with the rear seats in place. Standard safety
The Kizashi comes with eight airbags, antilock brakes, brake assist and electronic stability control. All models meet 2014 federal crash standards. The 2011 Kizashi Sport is rolling into Suzuki dealerships nationwide.

Substitute a six-speed manual and front-wheel-drive for the previous test’s CVT and all-wheel-drive, and the 2011 Kizashi certainly deserves another look.

The “Sport” revisions include a mildly restyled steering wheel and white stitching on the black leather seats. Suzuki similarly aims to impress with the Kizashi’s features list, and generally succeeds. Even before this year’s “Sport” revisions, Suzuki pitched the Kizashi as a driver’s car. The more I drove the Kizashi Sport SLS, the more I liked it.

Even with the “Sport” tuning, the Kizashi’s ride remains quiet and polished. With metallic paint, floormats, and satellite radio, the Kizashi Sport SLS lists for $26,049. Adjust for remaining feature differences, and according to TrueDelta’s car price comparison tool the non-premium-branded car’s advantage actually increases, to over $5,000. “Kizashi” means “something great is coming.”
Last year, Suzuki released new car named Kizashi. After only has one model within a year, Suzuki changed the Kizashi into “Sport” model. This changing is very remarkable. The Kizashi substitutes a six-speed manual. The Sport model of this Kizashi has a tasteful body kit and thinner spoked wheels.

2011 Suzuki Equator Crew Cab review

2011 Suzuki Equator Crew Cab
For 2011, the Suzuki Equator's V6 engine is no longer offered with the rear-wheel-drive extended cab, the RMZ-4 Sport trim has been discontinued and the tilt steering wheel is no longer available for the base trim level.

The 2011 Suzuki Equator is a midsize pickup truck that is available in extended- and crew-cab body styles. Extended cabs are available in Comfort, Premium and Sport trims, and all come with a 6-foot bed. Crew cabs are available in Sport and RMZ-4 trims. Rear-wheel drive is standard for the Comfort and Premium trim in the extended cab, while the Sport extended cab and crew cab can be had with either rear or four-wheel drive. Finally, the RMZ-4 crew cab with its short bed is only available with four-wheel drive.

The extended cab garnered four stars for driver protection in frontal impacts and five stars for frontal-impact passenger protection and driver protection in side impacts. In Edmunds brake testing, a crew cab Equator Sport model came to a stop from 60 mph in 122 feet. The 2011 Suzuki Equator makes use of small reverse-opening doors for extended cab models to allow rear passenger access to the fold-up jump seats. The inexpensive 2011 Suzuki Equator four-cylinder model is well-suited for light-duty work.

The "2011 Equator" remains available in both Extended Cab and Crew Cab body styles, each offering rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive (4WD) configurations. To accommodate loads ranging from Suzuki's ATVs to motorcycles, Suzuki offers Crew Cab variants in both Short Bed and Long Bed configurations. In addition, the Equator continues to incorporate class-leading standard safety features, including standard side-impact and rollover airbags and front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, as well as standard stability control on V6 models.
Equator also features a variety of available wheel and tire packages, including 16-inch off-road-style wheels with beefy BFGoodrich Rugged Trail P265/75R16 tires and 17-inch wheels with BFGoodrich Long Trail P265/65R17 tires.

Both standard bed and long bed Equator Crew Cab models are equipped with a standard high-utility bed that includes a factory-applied spray-on bedliner and an optional innovative adjustable tie-down system using built in tracks, extending cargo hauling versatility for active and spontaneous lifestyles. The Equator's interior strikes a balance between pickup truck function and sedan-style comfort, with both Extended Cab and Crew Cab body styles featuring flip-up rear seats, a fold-flat front passenger seat and removable storage boxes tucked beneath the rear seats to provide additional cargo capacity. Putting Equator at the head of its class in safety, all Equator models also come equipped with front seat-side-impact airbags and curtain airbags for side impact and rollover protection for front and rear outboard passengers.
Additionally, both "Extended Cab and Crew Cab models "provide three-point seat belts for all rear-seat occupants, including the center position for the Crew Cab. 2011 Equator Trim Levels and Packages

The Equator Crew Cab offers two trim levels, all powered by the V6 with five-speed automatic transmission. The Crew Cab Sport model offers the choice of 2WD or 4WD
For 2011, according to Suzuki, the Equator is "designed to deliver real capability to consumers focused on both the journey and the destination."

In point of fact, this platform isn't engineered for the mid-size truck segment; rather, it's downsized from the Titan full-size chassis. We like the attributes of the RMZ-4 off-road more than we like the characteristics of the base RWD models on-road.

Both 2011 Suzuki Equator Extended Cab and Crew Cab models feature flip-up rear seats, a fold-flat front passenger seat and removable storage boxes located beneath the rear seats. Beyond that, the base Extended Cab is appropriately spartan. Standard safety equipment in both cabs is more comprehensive, with ABS braking, tire pressure monitoring system and both front seat side-impact airbags and curtain airbags for front and rear outboard passengers.
Most options are tied to the trim levels: Premium, Sport and RMZ-4. Opt for the RMZ-4 with Sport upgrades and you'll enjoy the benefits of Vehicle Dynamic Control, Hill Descent Control and Hill Hold Control.

2011 Suzuki SX4 Hatchback

2011 Suzuki SX4 JX AWD Hatchback
2011 Suzuki SX4 Hatchback
The 2011 Suzuki SX4 Hatchback is one of them. SX4 at a glance
The obscure Japanese has many things going for it, starting with two different body styles (a four-door sedan and a five-door hatchback) and four trim levels (JA FWD, JX FWD, JX AWD and JLX AWD). The JA FWD and JX AWD can be equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox or a continuously-variable transmission, while the JX FWD and JLX AWD only come with the CVT. While ABS comes standard, stability control remains exclusive to the three higher-end models (standard on JLX).

Intelligent AWD
Then there is Suzuki's Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (iAWD), a three-mode, on-demand system with a switch on the centre console that allows the driver to select 2WD, Auto and Lock

The 2011 Suzuki SX4 Hatchback seamlessly blends the functionality and versatility of a SUV with the economy and sporty performance of a hatchback. The Suzuki SX4 Hatchback is also the most fuel efficient AWD in Canada. The result is a uniquely designed crossover that offers drivers the perfect mix of driving pleasure and practicality.

The first mode offers typical front-wheel drive handling with no torque steer, while the second mode automatically sends part of the engine's torque to the rear wheels when the front ones start to slip.

As the name suggests, the Lock mode positively locks the centre differential to distribute torque evenly between both axles (50/50). Which AWD model to pick?
When equipped with both ESP and the CVT, however, said JX AWD model is just $1,500 cheaper than the top-of-the-line model. The JLX may still appear more enticing for those who value comfort as well as drivers considering a Matrix AWD or Impreza Sport. Incidentally, the SX4 JX AWD is priced in the same exact ballpark as the base Impreza hatchback.

2011 Suzuki Equator Extended Cab review

The 2011 Suzuki Equator features an interior that reviewers find more practical than comfortable. The extended cab seats four while the crew cab seats five.

For 2011, the Suzuki Equator's V6 engine is no longer offered with the rear-wheel-drive extended cab, the RMZ-4 Sport trim has been discontinued and the tilt steering wheel is no longer available for the base trim level.

Likewise, both trucks suffer from the same cramped quarters in the rear of the crew cab. If a Suzuki dealer is conveniently close to you, however, the 2011 Suzuki Equator should be an enticing midsize pickup.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
The 2011 Suzuki Equator is a midsize pickup truck that is available in extended- and crew-cab body styles. Extended cabs are available in Comfort, Premium and Sport trims, and all come with a 6-foot bed. Crew cabs are available in Sport and RMZ-4 trims. The Sport comes with either a 5-foot or 6-foot bed, while the RMZ-4 has the short bed only. Rear-wheel drive is standard for the Comfort and Premium trim in the extended cab, while the Sport extended cab and crew cab can be had with either rear or four-wheel drive. Finally, the RMZ-4 crew cab with its short bed is only available with four-wheel drive.

The Premium adds 16-inch alloy wheels, a sliding rear window, a tilt steering wheel, keyless entry, full power accessories and upgraded cloth upholstery. A removable Garmin navigation system and a bed extender are optional for the RMZ-4 crew cab.

Properly equipped, the Equator can tow up to 6,300 pounds, while payload maxes out at 1,471 pounds. Fuel economy estimates range from 19 mpg city/23 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined for the rear-drive extended cab with the inline-4 engine to 14/19/16 mpg for the 4WD crew cab with its V6.

Safety
Antilock disc brakes, front side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags are standard on all trims. Traction and stability control are standard on Sport and V6 models. Hill-hold and descent control is standard on the four-cylinder Sport and V6-powered long bed and RMZ-4 models.
To the Equator's credit, its cabin features an attractive design, intuitive controls and comfortable front seats. The inexpensive 2011 Suzuki Equator four-cylinder model is well-suited for light-duty work.

The Equator is a rebadged Frontier. Only cosmetic differences, a slight price difference and Suzuki’s longer warranty differentiate the two. Being a Frontier in different clothing doesn’t hurt the Equator any, as the Frontier is a well-liked compact truck. In general, reviewers recommend the Equator over the Frontier, mainly because the two trucks cost about the same, but the Equator has a much longer warranty. 2011 Suzuki SX4 Sedan

The 2011 Suzuki SX4 is a compact car that is available in Sportback, Sedan, and Crossover trims. Fuel mileage ranges from an EPA estimated 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. Safety is comprised of eight standard airbags, anti-lock braking, electronic brake distribution, brake assist, and tire pressure monitoring.

The 2011 Suzuki SX4 is offered as either a 5-door hatchback or 4-door sedan. Sedans are available in Base and LE trim, with Sport Sedans available in S, SE and GTS trim. Hatchbacks are offered in Base, Technology and Premium trim levels.

The 2011 Suzuki SX4’s most appealing feature is available all-wheel drive. Shoppers who don’t need this option should research the competition -- there are more affordable cars with better fuel economy ratings available.

This price is still more expensive than the $16,999 Suzuki SX4 Crossover, which is the only model that comes with standard all-wheel drive.
Look at the Ford Fiesta and the Honda Fit. Both are available as hatchbacks, offer a lot of cargo room, zippy performance and sip fuel. The Fiesta sedan starts at $13,320, a little less than the SX4 sedan.

The SX4 is available in four models: a sedan, a sport sedan, sportback and crossover.
A manual six-speed transmission is standard, with an optional continuously variable transmission (CVT) that replaced the outgoing four-speed automatic.
Also standard now are anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, traction and anti-skid control.

The Suzuki SX4 Sedan manages 23 mpg city with either transmission, but the base sedan with a manual manages the best of the bunch with 33 highway miles per gallon. The SX4 Sport model manages slightly less, with 23 city across the board, but a peak of 32 highway with the manual, and 30 highway for the CVT.
The base SX4 Sedan comes standard with an information display screen, power windows, locks and mirrors, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, six-way adjustable driver's seat and an MP3-ready stereo with speed-sensitive volume controls.
For the SX4 Sport, standard features include a touch-screen navigation system, CD and MP3 capable stereo, steering wheel controls, tilt0adjustable steering wheel, remote keyless entry, power windows, locks and mirrors and more.

2011 Suzuki Kizashi Reviews

2011 Suzuki Kizashi
In automotive terms, the 2011 Suzuki Kizashi is much like a cult classic. The 2011 Suzuki Kizashi is a midsize sedan available in S, SE, Sport GTS and Sport SLS trim levels.

The Kizashi S comes standard with 16-inch steel wheels, keyless ignition/entry, full power accessories, dual-zone automatic climate control, cloth upholstery, a height-adjustable driver seat and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. Sport GTS models with AWD also receive steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles (optional on front-wheel drive models).

The top-shelf Kizashi Sport SLS adds automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, heated sideview mirrors, rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power passenger seat and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Powering all 2011 Suzuki Kizashi models is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. In performance testing, a Kizashi SLS with the six-speed manual and front-wheel drive went from zero to 60 mph in 8.3 seconds -- slightly above-average performance for a four-cylinder midsize sedan. Estimated fuel economy is 21 mpg city/31 mpg highway and 25 mpg in combined driving on the S model with the manual transmission, while the CVT model is rated at 23/31/26 mpg. The other trims achieve 20/29/24 mpg with the six-speed manual, 23/30/26 mpg with front-wheel drive and CVT and 22/29/25 mpg with AWD and the CVT.

Standard safety features on all 2011 Suzuki Kizashis include antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front and rear side airbags and side curtain airbags. In Edmunds brake testing, the Kizashi GTS with 18-inch wheels came to a stop in an excellent 114 feet.

For drivers looking for a little more excitement out of a family sedan, the 2011 Suzuki Kizashi should prove satisfying.

Some other developments are noteworthy: The Suzuki Kizashi took third place in a Cars.com comparison test among eight leading family sedans; buyers have been raving about the 2010 in Cars.com's consumer reviews; and this time I got to test a 2011 version I missed last time: a manual, front-wheel-drive version of the Sport SLS trim level. That car is basically the opposite personality of the 2010 Kizashi GTS automatic with all-wheel drive.

The Kizashi actually turns heads, and that's rare in the midsize sedan class. Both in our comparison test and in casual test drives of different Kizashi models, observers have described the quality as above average. Thankfully, in the Kizashi Sport SLS, the leather was as good for its type as the fabric was in the GTS.

In Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash tests, the Kizashi achieved the top score of Good in frontal, side and rear impacts, and was rated Acceptable for roof strength. In this crowded class, 11 models do the Kizashi one better, earning a Good rating for roof strength, which predicts rollover protection.

The Suzuki Kizashi features eight airbags, including seat-mounted torso airbags for all outboard seats, as well as side curtains. For all the Kizashi's safety features, click here.
For what it is, the Kizashi is priced reasonably well, though Suzuki might be wise to lower the price as an incentive for buyers. If all a car had to do to succeed in the market was be a good car, the Kizashi would be in excellent shape.

For 2011, there are slightly sportier versions called (ingeniously) the Sport GTS and more sybaritic Sport SLS, which supplant the current GTS and SLS models. Inside, there’s a new metallic-accented steering wheel covered in perforated leather.
Suzuki claims 0.93g for the Sport, impressive for the segment.
So the changes are small, but the price hike ought to be commensurately puny, say Suzuki spokespeople. The 2014 Kizashi Sport GTS 2.0 T?

Nobody is going to buy the 2011 Suzuki SX4 for its engineering prowess. The sturdy 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine produces 150 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque; CVT-equipped models get slightly lower horsepower, at 148. With front-wheel drive standard - and AWD available on crossover hatchbacks - the SX4 has plenty of robust offerings.

The Electronic Stability Program allows four-wheel disc brakes with an anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The new 2011 model suzuki swift

It's longer, taller and wider, but it's still unmistakably a Suzuki Swift.

The new 2011 model of the Japanese hatch has broken cover, with the company releasing the first official details of the car.

While it has retained the unmistakable lines of the quirky 2005 Swift, the new model is bigger in every way.

It is 90mm longer, the wheelbase (the distance between the front and rear wheels) has been stretched by 50mm and it is marginally wider and taller.

The car also has a wider stance, with the front and rear wheels wider apart. Suzuki predicts the new car will offer better noise refinement and safety, with extensive use of higher strength steel making the bodyshell lighter and stiffer than before.

“We are very excited about the preliminary release of the new car, but we are still some way off finalising the Australian version of the next Swift,” said Tony Devers, Suzuki Australian General Manager.

“The new Swift doesn’t go on sale here until the first half of next year, so we still have some development time to work through.”

The work will focus on finalising the engine and equipment specification of the car.

European models will be fitted with either a 1.2-litre petrol or a 1.3-litre diesel engine, but Suzuki Australia has admitted there are larger petrol engine options available.

The current range has a choice of has 1.5-litre and 1.6-litre petrol engines. Suzuki is also considering adding the diesel to the new model Swift.
